A Chapitre is the highlight of the Chaîne’s year and we are pleased to invite you to attend our Sydney 2019 Induction Ceremony and Chapitre Dinner.
Ralf Bruegger and his dedicated team in the InterContinental kitchens have devised a menu with a theme of Native, Organic, and Regional where regional products will be augmented with native fauna and flora.
The evening will commence with a traditional glass or two of champagne and food stations showcasing seafood from NSW and Tasmania and products from NSW.
Following this we will move into one of the InterContinental Double Bay’s well appointed spaces for a five course meal matched with wines especially sourced for the evening. If it swims, hops, grazes or is a special native plant it is liable to end up on the plate.
We are delighted that on the night De Beaurepaire Wines, The InterContinental Double Bay and Chaîne NSW have joined forces to showcase an array of exceptional ‘terroir’ driven single vineyard wines. Home of Winestate Magazine’s Australian Wine of the Year for 2018, De Beaurepaire is located on the hills above the historic village of Rylstone, The vineyard site selection was driven by finding a ‘terroir’ similar to Champagne and to Janet and Richard De Beaurepaire’s homeland in Burgundy, which are over 300km from the coast with cool, continental climates, and limestone-enriched, shallow alkaline soils
On the night Will De Beaurepaire will be present to introduce us to his wines. We will have a great opportunity to savour a full range of these premium wines.
Dinner will be preceded by an AGM for NSW Members and the intronisation ceremony for inductions and promotions. Such ceremonies are a highpoint of the Chaîne Experience. Bailli Délégué Australia and Membre du Conseil Magistral, Norm Harrison will be the inducting officer. We look forward to welcoming Norm and Serena on the night.
