Dear Member and friend of La Chaîne
It has become a tradition to commence our Chaîne year informally and, to facilitate this on this occasion we are privileged to have access to a discrete space in a Private Club which is spectacularly located on the beach at the water’s edge, with stunning views over Balmoral Beach all the way to the Heads.
Somewhat radically we will have an extensive and delicious tasting buffet luncheon prepared by well-known chef Ben Carden, previously Senior Events Chef for Blue Rock Catering and a Chef at Bathers Pavilion and Rockpool. This will allow members to mingle and converse with established and new members. The high standard fare will conclude with a decadent array of cakes, tarts & indulgent treats.
Our members and friends with dietary requirements will be well catered for on the day.
In keeping with our determination to provide members with interesting and high quality beverages, we have selected an array of wines that we anticipate will delight – perhaps even instruct. We will toast the New Year with Champagne and conclude with a sticky. Vive la Chaîne!!!
In fact your Committee will source beverages for the majority of functions in 2019. This we believe is a welcome change from past years and we will be presenting some fascinating wines during the year.
