We are delighted to invite you to a gala evening to celebrate Christmas in July. The Grace Hotel will provide an elegant backdrop for the presentation of a special menu designed by long time supporter of the Chaine and the Young Sommeliers Competition, Darren Ho. Darren has worked with Vice Conseiller Culinaire Mate Herceg to provide a menu and matched wines that we feel sure will delight you.
The wines chosen are fascinating, perhaps intriguing, but will certainly match the dishes served on the night.
Duval Leroy has a long and proud history in Champagne. This is a champagne from a prestige producer with a hand-crafted approach.
The handpicked Peacock Hill Chardonnay, is designed for seafood and we feel the Pinot Noir will be perfect with the main course. Grasshopper Rock is one of the world’s southern most vineyards, established in 2003 and dedicated exclusively to Pinot noir.
A non-fortified, dessert style Zinfandel (from the Hunter) is a rarity and the winemaker assures us that it will go well with chocolate!
I suspect we will be happy with the wine and food matches.
This will be a black tie/glamorous event and we will have a special surprise on the night
Coffee, tea & petit fours
