Your host and master of ceremonies on the day will be Tamas Pamer, Director of Culinary & Food and Beverage Service at InterContinental Sydney. Tamas will be joined by his executive team to make your day an extremely special one.

In Oberon you will go on an authentic truffle hunt, and then the team will create a three-course lunch using the truffles that you have picked. Wines will be chosen by the team to compliment the cuisine.

Who doesn’t love truffles? These uniquely flavourful mushrooms are prized the world over. In Sydney, truffles are used to make some of the most delicious recipes imaginable. But if dining on truffles is rare, finding them is even rarer. That’s what makes this truffle hunting day so special.

Oberon is your destination, where you’ll meet with the InterContinental’s truffelier, Lowest Mount Truffle. Here you’ll learn more about the art of finding truffles with the help of dogs, then set out on a truffle hunt, alongside the experts. It’s like a nature walk combined with a hunting experience, as the dogs sniff out fine truffles and you follow along. You’ll gather up what you find and then sit down to luxurious three-course lunch with your truffles as the centrepiece. Lunch will be paired with wines as well, so you’ll have plenty of chances to toast your tasty discoveries!
